Umorpha Systems is a new Colorado-based company beginning development of a fully open-source firmware framework for residential HVAC equipment. We believe bringing open source to HVAC equipment will improve transparency and flexibility over existing products, therefore providing the data and tools contractors desire to make their jobs easier and improve end results for occupants and builders.
Over the past two years, our conversations with HVAC professionals have grown our excitement for the future of this important industry. We believe the Trades working hard to make our homes comfortable and healthy are more than capable of meeting the challenges ahead, and we believe that open source technology has great potential to support their work.
We are thrilled to be a part of the OpenHVAC community, where we will continue to meet people who share in the vision to scale open source adoption in the HVAC industry.
